Methodology

A Way forward: Meeting New Challenges

The mentors at Kaamyaab like people who want to learn with joy with a positive mindset and are ready to put in hard work to adopt suggested strategies, which would be more than ‘giving advice’, or passing on what their experience was in a particular area or situation. It shall not be a counselling or a therapy – though the mentor may help the mentee to access more specialized avenues of help, if it becomes apparent that this would be the best way forward. It would be all about motivating and empowering the mentee to identify their own issues and goals, where the mentors would be helping them to find ways of resolving or reaching them – not by doing it for them, or expecting them to ‘do it the way I did it’, but by understanding and respecting different ways of working. 

Mentees would be able to change/achieve their goals more quickly and effectively than working alone and they would also be able to build a network of expertise to draw for their benefit and also for others.

The Kaamyaab team shall tend to focus on the future and broader skills for personal or career development. The idea behind mentoring relationship would be a charitable one: that the more successful, senior partners, the mentors would pass on some of what they’ve learned to someone else who will benefit from their experience by improving performance, career development, counselling and sharing knowledge. We will encourage, build rapport, nurture, activate capacity development processes, teach and respond to the learner’s needs.

There would be an involvement with commitment by accompanying the mentees and ensure our commitment in a caring way by taking part in the learning process in a pro-active manner. We will escalate learning processes and the demonstration of right set of skills and activities will focus on picking the ripe fruit of learning. There would be professionally sound multiple mentors who would impart appropriate instructions about strategies redefine the work processes, so that the right speed is quickly achieved over the bumps by adopting the right technology and unnecessary work is cut efficiently.
